Inclusion at Iowa State
What is happening at Iowa State University to enhance and cultivate the ISU Experience where faculty, staff, students, and visitors are safe and feel welcomed, supported, included, and valued by the university and each other?
Welcome to Inclusion at Iowa State, where you will find your answers to that question, learn more about the efforts made by ISU community members to realize Goal 4 of the university's strategic plan, and develop your own understanding of what Iowa State values in the areas of diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice.
This site is developed by individuals who have expertise in equity and inclusion, web development, information technology, project management, and digital accessibility. The main components of the site are:
Initiatives – This central resource will house information submitted by ISU community members after it is ready for public viewing. Inclusion at Iowa State visitors will be able to search through, sort, and gather information from this extensive database.
Directory – This central resource will provide information about people, programs, offices, etc. that are systematized at ISU (ex. Equity Advisors and Directors of Multicultural Student Success in every college, offices that are focused on inclusion, diversity/inclusion committees that are sponsored within units, etc.).
Digital Repository – This resource will be for storing, archiving, and accessing publications/program materials and recognition of those who are doing work in diversity/inclusion/equity/social justice areas. This component will be developed in partnership with the University Library and utilize ISU’s existing Digital Repository and Digital Press.
Community Input – ISU community members will provide information that helps Inclusion at Iowa State evolve. With their ISU netID, contributors submit information about initiatives for publication in Inclusion at Iowa State. Iowa State is a big place with many talented people making positive impact and it will take the involvement of our whole community to tell the story.
